This year, keeping our community healthy and safe means starting the school year differently than we ever have before – but we’re still feeling the same sense of excitement and possibility that we do at the beginning of every school year.
Based on data and guidance we received from our local health experts, DPS will extend remote instruction from the start of school on Aug. 24 through Oct. 16, which is the end of the first quarter of the school year for many schools. This applies to all district-run, innovation, and charter schools in our district.
As health conditions and guidance from local health experts continue to change throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we remain ready to adjust our plans to address the needs and safety of our entire community of students, families and staff.

Este año, mantener nuestra comunidad saludable y segura significa comenzar el año escolar de manera diferente, como nunca lo hemos hecho antes, pero aún sentimos la misma sensación de emoción y posibilidad que sentimos al comienzo de cada año escolar.
