Dear College View Elementary School Community,
It is bittersweet to share that Deb Rohrer, our 21-22 Assistant Principal, will be moving her professional career to Douglas County School District. She will serve as the Assistant Principal of Parker Performing Arts School. As a former music educator, with an extensive background in performing arts, this opportunity is the perfect blend of Ms. Rohrer’s passion and skill. We are grateful for her dedication to College View over the past five school years as a member of our Essentials team, Culturally Responsive Education Specialist, and Assistant Principal. Please join us in congratulating Ms. Rohrer. We will miss you!
After a selection process with Principal Joey Denoncourt, the College View Personnel Committee, and district leadership, Janet Estrada has been selected as the new Assistant Principal of College View Elementary School. We are confident Janet’s strengths will build upon the strong foundation we have at College View.
Janet Estrada has served in the Denver Public Schools since 2008. Janet started in DPS at Knapp Elementary School as a student teacher and quickly became part of the Knapp family as she continued to teach ELA-S first, second, and fourth grades. In 2015, Ms. Estrada joined the Johnson team where she started her journey into leadership as a Senior Team Lead. She has served as a teacher leader, Senior Team Lead, and Dean of Instruction. In each of these roles she has found great success and received many accolades. Ms. Estrada is eager to work with students, staff and the community to optimize student learning and experiences.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed input and feedback into the selection process. A huge thank you and our sincerest gratitude goes out to the Personnel Committee for their hard work and being an integral part of this process. We appreciate your engagement.
